She was predeceased by: her husband James Jerritt Whaley; her children, Gina Stallings and Charles Whaley; and her siblings, Lucille Potter, James Fields, Kenneth Fields and Francis Fields.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Hildreth of Seven Springs, Linda Whaley of Seven Springs, Elizabeth Whaley of Garland, TX, Pamela W. Balderas (Roberto) of Seven Springs, Ginger Barfield (Greg) of St. Augustine, FL, James Whaley, Jr. (Denelda) of Albertson, Michael Whaley of Seven Springs and Francis Whaley (Carrie) of Mt. Olive; her caregiver Shatonia Brown; and her pet Mandy. She is also survived by daughter; thirty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Howard - Carter Funeral Service (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Pinelawn Memorial Park.
