He was predeceased by: his father Roger Delano May. He is survived by: his mother Mary Louise May; his children, Jenna May (Alexis Garcia) of John May, II and Jason Lupo (Cherri); his siblings, Donna May, Debbie Livesay (Cory) and Roger May (Pixie); his grandchildren, John May III, Jaxon May, Jaeden Moore and Alexis Burgos; and his nieces and nephews, Jake May, Cady May, Shelby Mitchell (Sam), Michael Livesay and Cory Livesay II.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials to be given in his memory to the North Carolina.
