She was predeceased by: her parents, George Daniel Barwick and Bessie Walker Barwick; her husband Ronald G. Teachey; her granddaughter Naomi Lagunas; and her siblings, Robert Southerland, Margaret Coor and Bobbie Swinson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dorcas Walker (David) of Seven Springs, Ronda Hughes (Alan) of Seven Springs and Bessie Graham (Glenn) of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Dr. Audy Whitman (Jennifer), Melissa DeCarlo (Derek), Ray Herring, Jr., Robert Long, George Graham Ronald Long (Ashley), Daniel Herring (Michala), Blaise Long, Jarrett Graham, Walker Graham and Courtney; her great grandchildren, Natalie Lagunas, Jaiden Hughes-Lagunas, Brentley Hughes, Lily Herring, Maddie Quinn, Hannah Smith, Emily Smith, Selah DeCarlo and Cassia DeCarlo; her sister Lerlene Kilpatrick Deans of Rocky Mount; and her brother-in-law David Swinson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and special friends.
