He is survived by: his children, Teresa Clay of Timberlake, NC and Tony Farmer of Raleigh, NC; his sisters, Helen Peace of Philadelphia, PA and Joella Stewart of Milton, NC; his grandchildren, Courtney Clay, Camille Clay and Nylah Farmer; his aunts, Dorothy Pyles of Milton and Nannie Pyles of Milton; and his friend Lorry Moore of Eden, NC.
