With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edith Hamlett (Semora, North Carolina), born in Halifax, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ned Garland and Etta Childs Garland; her husband Olander M. Hamlett; and her sons, Larry Hamlett and Erwin Hamlett (Tammy).
She is survived by: her children, Corliss Hamlett of Semora, Leon Michael Hamlett (Joyce) of Durham and Calvin Hamlett (Florence) of Semora; and her sister-in-law Mildred Parker of Long Beach, California. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church (2645 Cunningham Rd, Semora, NC 27343). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
