She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Royster and Julia Richmond Royster; and her siblings, Christine Royster, Louise Elmore, Carrie Royster, Willie Royster Jr., James Otis Royster and Robert Lynwood Royster.
She is survived by: her husband Floyd Phelps; her children, Katrina Phelps Scott (Henry) of Lawrenceville, GA, Rachel Phelps Broadie (Charles) of Danville, VA, Camelia "Cam" Phelps of Raleigh, NC and George Vincent Phelps of Semora, NC; and her sisters, Dorothy Cunningham of Semora, NC, Annie Ruth Brandon (Herman) of Alton, VA and JoAnn Chadwick of Jacksonville, NC.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
