It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Edison Hines of Selma, North Carolina, who passed away on June 12, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his siblings, Clarence Becton Hines and Effie Aycock Hines; his children, Terri Hines Stutts (Keith) of Wilson and James "Jamey" Thomas Hines (Sylvia) of Selma; his sister Murl Brown of Selma; his grandchildren, Callie Stutts Gill (Justin), Cullen Benson Stutts (Amy), Caroline Hines Barefoot (Jared), Caitlyn Grey Hines (Matthew Corbett) and Chandler Lela Hines; his great grandchildren, Elliott Barefoot, Maxton Corbett, Emerson Barefoot, Rowan Stutts, Charlotte Gill and Olivia Gill; and his siblings-in-law, Vicki and Jim Lassiter. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
