He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Leonard Moody and Letha Mae Matthews; his wife Betty Jean Hobson Matthews; his sons, Richard Arthur Matthews and Norwood Glenn Matthews; his brothers, Mike Marshburn and Donnie Marshburn; and his grandchildren, Danyelle Sutton and Scotty McLamb.
He is survived by: his daughters, Salina Smith, Tammy Matthews, Vicky Matthews and Nicole Bastin. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
