Though Rosa Mae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rosa Mae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lula Rebecca Hinnant and Amos G Batts. She is survived by: her son Billy Batts; and her grandchildren, Tyreka Denise Horton (Tasha) of Smithfield, NC, Elijah Batts, Xavier Best, Mercedes Horton, Lyric Horton, Ava Best and Kai Best. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sanders Funeral Home Chapel (806 E Market St, Smithfield, NC 27577). Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (414 W 1st St, Kenly, NC 27569). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at the Wayne Memorial Park North.
