She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Ivey Bailey and Lorna Atkinson Bailey; her husband Lawrence Ray Phillips Sr.; her sons-in-law, Gerald Creech and Ronnie Elmore; and her grandson Derek Ray Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Warren Phillips (Angel) of Selma, Lawrence Phillips Jr. (Elaine) of Selma, Jenny Creech of Zebulon, Jackie Hines (Stancill) of Cary and Carolyn Canzonieri (Mike) of Indian Trail; and her brother Wilbur Bailey (Becky) of Raleigh. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
