She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Mitchell and Sallie Eva Mitchell; her husband Reginald Potts; her brother Cedric Mitchell; her daughter Janet Medlin; and her son-in-law Ronald Hammons.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Massey Hammons and Sallie Potts; her sons-in-law, Thomas Medlin, Jr. and Benjamin Massey, Sr.; her grandchildren, Thomas Medlin, III (Edith), Catherine Windham (Brandon), Victoria Howell (Brian), Benjamin Massey, Jr. (Kristina), Jessica Downham (Darrell George) and Adam Hammons (Kimberlee Gascon); her great grandchildren, Isabella, Aiden, Elizabeth, Gabriel, Palmer, Tobias Medlin, Jayden, Luke Windham, Landon, Annaleigh Howell, Levi Massey, Conner, Damon, Lydia Downham and Lathan George; and her close friend Missy.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Parrish Funeral Home, Inc. (1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Princeton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parrish Memorial Baptist Church.
