It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Franklin Mitchell of Selma, North Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lovette Mitchell and Viola Parnell Mitchell; and his siblings, Louise Jones, Alice Peedin, Mary Boykin, James Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell, Elwood Mitchell and Donnie Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Lee Mitchell; his daughters, Tammy D. Baynor (John) of Selma and Pamela J. Snead (Ashley) of Four Oaks; and his grandchildren, Wells F. Edwards, III, Taylor Snead and Tyler Snead.
