It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Wilson Barbour of Selma, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Barbour and Addie Lee Lassiter Barbour; his sister Eunice Faye Raines; and his grandson Richard Conklin III. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Barbour; his children, James Wilson Barbour of Princeton and Susan Jernigan (Tony) of Selma; his siblings, James Alton Barbour, William Barbour and Janie Barbour; his grandchildren, Victoria Johnson (Burke), Julia Turnage (Chris), Will Barbour, Brooke Barbour, Reid Barbour, Josh Barbour (Marana), James Jernigan (Taylor) and Anthony Jernigan; and his great grandchildren, Caroline Johnson, Preston Johnson, Charlotte Johnson, Jackson Barbour, Kyndall Barbour, Juliana Rivera, Layla Hilliard, Hunter Hilliard, Sophia Motley and Liliya Barbour.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church (7438 US Highway 96 North, Selma, NC 27576). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
