He is survived by: his wife Louise Harris Gilmore of Clayton; his children, Karen Gilmore Friend (Brian) of Kenly and David Gilmore (Susie) of Fuquay-Varina; his grandchildren, Grace Reed (Isaiah) of Goldsboro and Micah Gilmore of Fuquay-Varina; his sister Loretta Strickland of Willow Spring; and his friend Sandy Gordon of Clayton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
