She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Edgar Pennell and Martha Anderson Pennell; her husband Luther Pearce; her children, Linwood, Gerald Pearce and Brenda Pearce Kelly; her granddaughter Elizabeth Holmes; and her siblings, Troy, Floyd, Berlon Pennell, Valley Jones and Flora Stewart (Valley Jones).
She is survived by: her children, Mack Pearce (Paula) of Princeton, Sandra Croft (Ben) of Smithfield and Linda Snead (Billy) of Princeton; and her sisters, Alberta Little of Claremont, Naomi Woodard of Roanoke Rapids, Christine Bartlett of Goldsboro and Geraldine Strickland of Kenly. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
