He was predeceased by: his father Ellie Clara Johnson Sr.; and his brother Ray Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Johnson; his son Jamie Johnson (Amanda) of Kenly; his stepchildren, Tyler Peeden (Madison) of Pikeville, Elizabeth Barfield (Ronnie) of Wilson and Jennifer Marriner (Brett) of Goldsboro; his sister Sandra Tant (Clyde) of Zebulon; and his granddaughter Destiny Johnson (Dayde) of Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
