He was predeceased by: his parents, Realus Jones and Mattie Grice Jones; his wife Gloria Hinnant Jones; and his brother Earward Z.. He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Jones (Patrice) of Selma and Joanne Evans (Robert) of Kenly; his stepchildren, Patricia Brown (Ricky) of Selma, Veronica Lee (Jim) of New Bern, Sheila Davis (James) of Selma, Wanda Long of Selma, Kathy Bissette (Phil) of Selma and Frank Edwards, Jr. (Patricia) of Garner; his grandsons, Chris Evans of Micro, Shane Evans (Miranda) of Rocky Mount and Ted Jones (Michelle) of Louisburg; his great grandchild Brandon Evans (Brittany) of Wilson; and his siblings-in-law, Marie Jones of Selma, Sylvia Thompson of Smithfield, Sandra Pearce of Selma, Bernie Pearce of Selma and Rev. Thomas Pearce of Clayton. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren; thirteen step-great-grandchildren.
