With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Blaney Hocutt of Selma, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024 at the age of 55. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact David Blaney had on those he encountered along his journey. Though David Blaney may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Hocutt and Mary Hocutt. He is survived by: his son David Hocutt, Jr.; his siblings, Amanda Bailey (Woody), Melissa Hocutt and Doug Hocutt; and his grandchildren, David Lacy Hocutt and Hunter Hocutt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens (809 W Gannon Ave, Zebulon, NC 27597).
