He was predeceased by: his parent Shirley Carroll Chamblee; his significant other Melissa Gandy; his son Jonathan Strickland; his brother Michael Strickland; and his brother-in-law Gregory Lauvray.
He is survived by: his father Charles Vaiden Strickland Sr.; his children, Chuck Strickland, Lori Strickland, Candi Checketts (Chris), Michael Strickland and Bryan Strickland (Lauren); his siblings, Debbi Lauvray, Sandy Kuck (Stuart) and Tom Emig (Denise); and his pet Tay Tay. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parrish Funeral Home, Inc. (1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576).
