It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Renfrow Strickland of Selma, North Carolina, who passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Willie Ennis Renfrow and Sallie Hare Renfrow Whitley; her husband David Strickland; and her siblings, Ray Renfrow, Rev. Charles Lynwood Renfrow and Hilda Renfrow Starling.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Strickland of Selma, Teresa Lane (Jeff) of Selma and Myra Peedin (Larry); her brother Harold Renfrow (Gail) of Knightdale; her grandchildren, Morgan Messick (Chad) of Statesville, Spencer Lane (Meredith) of Clayton, Hayden Lane of Raleigh, Joshua Peedin of Selma, Drake Peedin of Selma and Nolan Peedin of Selma; and her great grandchildren, Paisley Messick, Kane Messick, Hunter Lane and Savannah Lane. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
