It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ava Davis Broadwell of Selma, North Carolina, who passed away on April 26, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, L. O. Davis and Maude Moore Davis of Selma; her sisters, Jean D. Newell of Roxboro, NC and Frances D. Clark of Greenville, NC.; her spouse R. O. Broadwell (Dicky) of Selma; her children, R. O. Broadwell III (Mary) of Sparta, NC., Jim Broadwell (Cynthia) of Clayton, Bart (Kathy Broadwell) of Grantham, Joey (Janie Broadwell) of Angier and Amy Broadwell Taylor (Neil) of Cary, NC.; her grandchildren, Hunter Broadwell (Jennifer) of Wilmington, NC, Megan Jordan (Andrew) of Portland, Rob Broadwell of Mexico, Maggie (Neil Kern) of Charlotte, Jessica (Tim Crooks) of Fuquay, Lauren Broadwell of Charlotte, Morgan Broadwell of Angier, Will Broadwell of Grantham and Katlyn (Kyle Riddle) of Rocky Mount, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Jack Broadwell of Wilmington, Millie, Margot Crooks of Fuquay and Lincoln Kern of Charlotte.
