It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rufus Beck of Seagrove, North Carolina, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Walter Beck and Barbara Anna Beck (Cockman); and his siblings, Charles, Bill, Philip Beck, Virginia Jones, Alice Setzer, Maggie Trotter and Rebekah Beck.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Beck; his sons, Stan Beck (Beverly) of Asheboro and Dean Beck (Pam) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Kent Beck (Margaret), Josh Beck, Kate Steele (Billy), Allison Winters (Drew), Caroline Youngdale (Carl) and Lauren Beck; his stepgranddaughter Angela Boone (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Emerson Beck, Charlotte Beck, Elise Winters, Emorie Boone and Aubrey Boone. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM. The lying in state was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church (7912 Union Grove Church Rd, Seagrove, NC 27341).
