He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell and Allie Hall Macon; and his children-in-law, Tony Auman and Kay Macon. He is survived by: his wife Betty Asbill Macon; his children, Joan Macon Brown (Alden) of Asheboro and Mike Eugene Macon of Seagrove; his grandchildren, Beth Trogdon (Chris), Kathryn Gillispie (Luke) and Logan Macon; and his stepgrandson Craig Brown (Kayla). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
