He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Bascom and Vellie Cole King; his wife Geneva Comer King; and his siblings, Elrin, Lamon, Grady, Rochie, Evin, Lenard King, Virginia Shelton, Ida Auman, Gatha Bym, Doris King and Molly Reeder.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Hussey (Donald) of Seagrove, Gary King (Janet) of Seagrove and Yancy King (Kelley) of Siler City; his brothers, Don Willard King (Elda) of Happy Hollow and Michael King (Sue) of Carolina Beach; his grandchildren, Natalie Poe (Brian), Olivia Garner, Dustin King, Aaron Scott, Rebecca Crawford (Cameron) and Will Hussey; and his great grandchildren, Reece Poe and Kynleigh Poe.
