He was predeceased by: his wife Cyndee Cagle Hanes; and his father Fredrick Allen Hanes, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Natalie Dawn Hanes (Seth Young) of Asheboro, Justin Michael Hanes (Jessica Warf-Hanes) of Asheboro and Carl Benjamin "Ben" Junkin (Beth) of Monroe, MI; his mother Brenda Joyce Hamm of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Caiden Gabriel Flippen, Jaxson Adam Hanes, Charlotte Junkin, Wyatt Junkin and Jessalynn Hanes; his brothers, Fredrick "Freddie" Hanes, Jr. (Mandy) of Asheboro, Gregory Hanes (Revonda) of Asheboro, Keith Hanes (Lisa) of Asheboro and Timothy Hanes of New London; and his parents-in-law, Hal and Betty Jo Cagle of Asheboro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
