He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Ross and Elizabeth Cole Auman; and his siblings, L. R. Auman, Edith Hogan, Annie Bell Strider, Verdie Freeman and Lucille Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Hayes Auman; his children, Debbie Sutphin of Ramseur, Ricky Auman (Mary Ann) of Seagrove and Randy Auman (Vicki) of Franklinville; his grandchildren, Zackery Singleton, Savannah Auman and Lane Sutphin; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan Ellison, Samatha Ellison, Daniel Ellison, Ashley Trump and Justin Davis; and his pets, Abbie and Bree. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
