He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Welch and Etta Kennedy Welch; and his siblings, Robert Welch, Bill Welch, Junior Welch, Dorothy Kennedy, Mandy Welch, Thelma Davis and Pauline Frye.
He is survived by: his sons, Jessie Russell Welch (Tammy) of Seagrove and Perry Randall Welch (Annette) of Seagrove. He is also survived by grandchildren, that meant the world to him, Jessie Ryan Welch, and wife, Laura, Anna Newsome, and husband, Darren, Jason Welch, Codey Welch, all of Seagrove, Meka Lamb, and husband, Casey, of Randleman, great-grandchildren.
