She was predeceased by: her parents, H. Wade Lanier and Sula Monnie Elliott; her husband Winburn Frye; and her siblings, Jack Lanier, Gerald Lanier, Sidney Malcolm Lanier, Betty Russell, Evelyn Gallimore, Richard Lanier and Wanda Lanier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patsy Newsom (Clarence), Lynne William and Joy Ramirez (Jorge); and her grandchildren, Douglas Newsom, Angela Gould, Chris Newsom, Tina Wilson and Randy Ramirez. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
