It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Troy Mayo (Scranton, North Carolina), who passed away on March 3, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Wilson Mayo and Thompson Ellen Emory Mayo; and his brother Gary Mayo. He is survived by: his children, Jason Mayo and Nikie Mayo (Kirk Brown); his grandson Tucker Mayo; his sister Brenda Mayo Armstrong; his sister-in-law Elaine Mayo; and also, Claudia Cahoon (Lyle), Kristen Noble, Jaime Jones, Lyla Watson and Emma Williams. He is also survived by spouses, and children.
To honor Troy Lane's love and admiration for Hyde County, and its history, in lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Swan Quarter Volunteer Fire Department, and marked, "Mayo Bench/Hyde Bell", at Post Office Box 97, Swan Quarter, N.C. 27885.
