It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Williams of Scranton, North Carolina, born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Sr. Williams and Dorothy Ange Williams. He is survived by: his wife Melody Carter Williams; his grandchildren, Brandt Williams, Hurley Williams, Braxton Williams, Trent Jones Jr., Chase Jones, Easton Jones, Tripp Williams and Ariel Williams; his siblings, Ralph Williams Jr. (Vickie) of Scranton, Kent Williams (Carol Ann) of Engelhard, Bryan Williams (Rhonda) of Pantego, Sheila Garrish (Rayford) of Scranton and Esther W. Keech (Mack) of Free Union; and his sister-in-law Sue Rhem. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
