It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine S. Tooley of Scranton, North Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey B. Swindell and Mabel Silverthorne Swindell; her husband Roland O'Neal Tooley; and her brother C. Eric Swindell. She is survived by: her children, R. Ray Tooley (Emily), Kristy T. Lawrence (Brad), Charles D. Tooley (Lisa) and Paula T. Spencer (Chad); her grandchildren, Kasey T. Armstrong (KJ), Ryan G. Tooley (Peyton), Eric B. Lawrence (Shanna), Samantha L. Lewis (Brandon), Brandon C. Tooley, Brody D. Tooley, Ashley E. Spencer and Bo H. Spencer; and her great grandchildren, Emma B. Lewis and Ella O. Lawrence.
