He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Hamill and Emma Anderson Hamill; his daughter Frances Gray Warren; and his brother Ronnie Hamill. He is survived by: his children, Haley Rebecca Hamill of Kitty Hawk, Marcus Clinton Hamill of Whitakers and Sam Nicholas Hamill of Charleston, SC; and his siblings, Amanda Hamill (Bernhard Lampert) of Rougemont, Elizabeth L. Hamilton of Atlanta, GA, Martha H. Lineberger (Eric) of Winston Salem, David Hamill of Enfield and Randy Hamill of Enfield. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
