She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Vann and Edith Vann; her husband Howard Brett; her daughter Kathy Brett Koonce (Michael); and her brother George Vann (Louise).
She is survived by: her son Stan Brett (Pam) of Conway, NC; and her grandchildren, Clay Koonce (Courtney), Mandy Smith (Jason), Cory Brett (Kris), Logan Brett and Melanie Cox. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
