He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon Day and Pauline Smith Day; his siblings, Terry, Artwood, Leslie, James "Bobby" Day, Shirley Marie Day Pender, Eva Pauline Day Wilkins, Mary Ruth Day Josey and Elmiza Jean Day; his aunt Vivian Smith; his uncle Columbus Day; and his cousin Ruby Lee Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Jene Anthony Day; his son Anton Day; his siblings, Frank Day of Boston, MA, Elvis Day of Temecula, CA, Mamie Day Akpeneye of Washington, DC., Patricia Day Terrell of Washington, DC. and Joe Day (Katie); his brother-in-law Walter Pender; his friend Vanessa Lewis; and also Alice Day.
