He is survived by: his wife Brenda Jones; his sons, Steven Jones (Leslie) of Greenville and Marty Best of Seven Springs; his grandchildren, Whitney Green of Scotland Neck, Blake Green (Courtney Stone) of Greenville, Hannah Rooker, Colton Baker of Washington, Taylor Yancey (Carson) of Oxford, Elliott Jones of Greenville, Lilly Lyon of Greenville, Fleming Lyon of Greenville, Kailey Best of Seven Springs, Kelsey Best of Seven Springs, Adaijah Evans of Seven Springs and Maddox Battes of Seven Springs; his great grandchild Savanna Baker of Washington; his sister Cheryl Casper of Scotland Neck; and his cousin Ben Jones of Scotland Neck. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service - Letchworth Chapel (101 W 7th St, Scotland Neck, NC 27874). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sunnyside Cemetery (4764 US-258, Scotland Neck, NC 27874).
