It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Earl Etheridge of Scotland Neck, North Carolina, who passed away on August 6, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Lou Etheridge; his parents, Herman Etheridge and Willie Mae VanLandingham Etheridge; his wife Jeanette Burke; his grandson Michael Turner; and his sister Sara Whitehead.
He is survived by: his children, Ed Etheridge, Jr. (Susan) of Scotland Neck and Tammy Johnson (Bryan) of Newport; his sisters, Lynn Todd of Sunset Beach and Frances Patterson (Pete) of Williamston; his granddaughters, Ashley Lund (Mike) of New Hill and Lauren Turner of Rocky Mount; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Avery Lund.
