She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Cannon and Juanita Cannon; her brothers, David Cannon and Allen Cannon; and her siblings-in-law, Johnnena Cannon, Ronnie Staton and Frankie Black.

She is survived by: her husband George E. Pendleton, III; her children, Eddie Pendleton (Mandy) of Scotland Neck and Elizabeth Pierce (Michael) of Kinston; her grandchildren, Zachary, Candace, Haden, Jackson, Cooper and Garrett; her sister Gwendolyn Cannon of Texas; her siblings-in-law, Polly Staton, Peggy Black, Tommie Lou Pendleton and Larry Pendleton; and also Maggie Mitchell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
