She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Mitchell and Catherine Edmond Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, Arthur Smith of Scotland Neck, Joseph Smith of Oak City, NC, Keith Smith of Rocky Mount, NC, Gladys Hill Butler of Rocky Mount, NC, Louvenia Smith Jones of Scotland Neck, NC and Mattie Heyward of Scotland Neck, NC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
