She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Shearin and Mary West; her daughter Clara Beth Chappell; and her siblings, Elaine O'Connie Vaughan and Rocky Lee Shearin.
She is survived by: her husband John; her sons, Brandon David Fountain (Tabitha) of Tarboro and Steven Adams of Colerain; and her grandsons, Dylan Barfield, Wesley Fountain, Landon Fountain and Brandon "Lil B" D. Fountain, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family member, and friends.
