He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Miller and Minnie Ethel Carpenter Miller; his wife Alice Jeanette McConnell; his siblings, Ruby Vinson, Edwin Miller and Everette Miller; and his granddaughter Patricia Ann Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Dale Miller (Lisa) of Scaly Mountain, Donald Eugene "Blue" Miller (Tammy) of Scaly Mountain, Teresa Arlene Miller Holbrooks of Scaly Mountain and Sheila Gail Miller Kinsey (Deed) of Cashiers; his sister Elizabeth McConnell of Scaly Mountain; and his grandchildren, James Miller, Steven Miller, Mary Beth Burrell, Jessica Brooks, Brandon Kinsey and Cassandra Connor. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
