With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred Henderson Barnes of Scaly Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Barnes and Bessie Dryman Barnes; his wife Jayne Johnson Barnes; and his siblings, Jim Barnes, Louis Barnes, Jack Barnes, Sue Hicks, Carol Frady, Judy Ensley and Shirley Bolick.
He is survived by: his sisters, Jane English and Diane Lesley; his children, Matthew Barnes, Richard Barnes and Gail Marlar; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Casey, Bennett, Paul, Kaitlan, Christopher, Bryant, Kelli, Carol and John. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
