He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Letchworth Saunders; his parents, Bennie A. Saunders and Mary Ethel Owens Saunders; and his sister Janice S. Dail. He is survived by: his daughter Elaine Saunders; his sister Dorothy Proctor of Morehead City; and his pets, Henry, Lucky, Harry and Hazel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
