He was predeceased by: his parents, G. Alva Gibbs, Sr. and Billie Gibbs; and his grandson Eli Russell Sleipness. He is survived by: his wife Kaye McCurley Gibbs; his children, Amy Gibbs Sleipness (Ole) of Spokane, Washington and William F. Gibbs, Jr. (Danielle) of Greenville; and his grandchildren, Red, June, Floyd, Mack, Annabelle and Luke.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cashiers United Methodist Church or the MS Society.
