He was predeceased by: his parent Roy Messer; and his siblings, Bruce Messer and Gay Roper. He is survived by: his parent Bonnie Woody Messer; his children, Max Messer (Holly) of Wilmington, NC, Dustin Messer of Sapphire and Brandy James (Danny) of Moultrie, GA; his siblings, Don Messer (Pat) of Pisgah Forest and Peggy Lineberry (William) of Fayetteville, NC; and his grandchildren, Wyatt, Colton, Benjamin, Katelyn, Trysten, Damon, Chellbie and Joseph.
