He was predeceased by: his parents, James Layfette Clark and Addie Walker Clark; and his brother James "Jimmy" Clark. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Murchison Clark; his daughters, Susan Hardy of Sanford, Vicki Cohen (Jim) of Trinity and Gayle Marget (George) of Midlothian; his granddaughters, Sara Hardy of Durham, Meghann Robinson (Tanner) of Winston-Salem, Anna Minton (Rob) of Wilmington, Caroline Davey (Ben) of Charlotte, Mary Chandler Morton (Chase) of Winston-Salem, Addie Hargett (Alex McPhearson) of New York City, Olivia Hargett of New York City and Isabella Hargett of New York City; his great grandchildren, Chandler, MacRae Robinson, Nicholas, Olivia, Claire Davey and Zoἒ Minton; his siblings, Glenda Gaines (Ronnie) of Goldston, Ann Burns (Charles) of Sanford, Mark Clark (Annette), Joanie Clarke (John) of Pittsboro and Patti Wyrick (Bill) of Holden Beach; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Clark of Goldsboro. He is also survived by his mother's cousins, the Walker brothers.
