With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Stone of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on July 24, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pearce Allen "J. P." and Viola Wilson Allen; her husband John Stone; and her brother Leon Allen "Shorty". She is survived by: her children, Royce Cummings, Jr. (Sheila) and Tammie Cummings Kelly (Greg) of Sanford; her sisters, Joyce Patterson of Lillington and Betty Hicks of Sanford; her granddaughters, Kaitlyn Kelly "Katie" (Tyler Gallupe) and Heather White (Luther); her great grandchild Julianna White; her sister-in-law Joyce Mason Allen; and her caregiver Shirley White. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
