She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene "Skinny" Love and Irela Baker Love; her son Shawn Melby; and her brother Eddie Love. She is survived by: her husband Robert B. "Bobby" Melby Jr.; her children, Shannon Melby Freeman and Brandon Melby; her grandchildren, Asher Freeman, Brayden Melby, Alayna Melby and Makayla Melby; and her sisters-in-law, Juana Love and Bert Holt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Good News Baptist Church (3400 Wicker St, Sanford, NC 27330). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
