He was predeceased by: his parents, William Goble Griffith and Flossie Mae Callahan; his wife Gladys Kelly; his son William "Bill" Roger Griffith; and his siblings, Hazel G. Kallendorf, John Griffith and Blackburn Griffith.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Linda Carol Sloan (Benny Sloan); his granddaughter Cherise S. Jones (Walt Jones); his great grandchild Claire Jones; and his caregivers, Roger, Rhonda Womack, Brenda Womack, Kay Tolman, Christie Tolman, Tina Porter, Veronica Martin, Sharhonda Larden and Marsha Epps.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Moore Union Christian Church (4294 Buckhorn Rd, Sanford, NC 27330). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 2:45 PM at the Moore Union Christian Church Cemetery (4294 Buckhorn Rd, Sanford, NC 27330).
