With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Schroeder of Sanford, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 14, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Rita departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Rita. Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Roy Lockard and Elizabeth Devore Lockard; and her husband Joseph F. Schroeder II. She is survived by: her children, Joseph F. Schroeder III (Carol) of Sanford, NC and Rita Mae Julian (Stan) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and her sister Marion Donovan of Scranton, PA.. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
