He is survived by: his father Pete Steele; his wife Rebecca Martin Steele (Becky); his mother Carol Cottrill Steele; his siblings, Dale Allen Steele (Jeanette) and Cynthia Steele (Brian); his uncle Curtis Cottrill; his aunt Linda Cottrill Welty of Ohio; and his nieces and nephews, Tyler Steele, Brianna Steele, Peter Kaminski (Katelyn) and Courtney Reulbach (Justin).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Stephen the First Martyr Catholic Church (901 N Franklin Dr, Sanford, NC 27330).
